Cloverfield

Cloverfield

I am not entirely sure how good Cloverfield was or was not because I spent a majority of the movie staring at the floor or trying to focus on a chair due to the “wobbly first-person running-cameraman vision” thing they did through the WHOLE FREAKIN’ MOVIE. I was sick for a few hours afterwards. Blah.

What I did see or sense of the movie seemed interesting in that whole “imagine if you were in that situation and something HUGE went down and you didn’t know what it was at first” sort of way. It was over the top and had some holes, but probably would have been enjoyable if it wasn’t so nauseating.

My recommendation … rent it, not wait for television, so that you can watch it in chunks instead of blowing some.

You are not the first person I’ve heard of who had that reaction in the theater. Makes me a bit nervous about seeing it on the big screen–I might wait until it hits DVD.
