Check out movie-montage.com, where they track, rate, and comment upon montages in movies. You know, those chunks of scenes, edited together over some inspirational song (think “Eye Of The Tiger”) showing the character’s growth from one stage of life/training/romance/whatever to the next.

The site goes one step further and subdivides its montages into several categories. Training montages is the natural first category, but other important montage genres like building montages, flashback montages, and yes, cleaning montages are also represented.

My big disappointment with the site was that they don’t link to videos of the montages, which is sort of the point of the internet. They do get close by posting many, many still shots taken from the montage, but you don’t get the same experience.

However, they do detail the building montage from Real Genius, so maybe that makes up for it.
