300 was certainly the most ambitious of the few movies I saw while on vacation.  It was relatively enjoyable, though I didn’t like it as well as the hallmark movie in the genre, Sin City.  I might not have been much in the graphic novel mood, though, as I found myself saying, “There was a lot of X in the movie, but I guess that is how graphic novels are supposed to be, so that’s probably fine.”  So I liked it fairly well, but I don’t consider it stellar and won’t see it again.

3.5 stars for the film — to match the gallons of virtual blood shed therein.
