St. Peter’s Old-Style Porter and Cream Stout

The first thing that hit me about the St. Peter’s line of beers is the gorgeous bottle.  It’s an old-time oval flask that just screams, “I have a delicious liquid within my walls.”  Whaddya know, the bottles didn’t lie.

The porter was a full-bodied, intense mix of hops and coffee malts.  The cream stout wasn’t the creamiest stout I’ve had, but it had plenty of sweet chocolate undertones.  It was imminently drinkable, where the boldness of the porter made it a little more of a winter-y beer.  Both of these were $3.99 per pint at the local well-stocked liquor store, and well worth it.

I’m not very good at describing beers, so I’ll just say: find the St. Peter’s beers and give them a taste for yourself.  You will NOT be disappointed.
